About William Meemken
My name is William G. Meemken , and I am a Photographic Artist specializing in Color and B&W Digital Imagery ,
as well as Digital Theme Art pieces and Digital Paintings. I live and work in the City of St. Cloud , MN ,
where I have lived most of my life . I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from St. Cloud State University ,
earned in 1990 , as well as Post-Graduate work in Art Education . As of 1999 , I was diagnosed with Legal Blindness ,
due to a condition called Diabetic Retinopathy , which has robbed me of about 60 % of my working vision . I continue to
produce artwork using a Professional - Grade Digital SLR Camera with Auto-Focus features , and finish the Images using Adobe Photoshop . None of my Images are altered physically in any way from the Base Image the camera captures . I simply use Photoshop to make cosmetic changes to Sharpness , Brightness , Contrast , Lightness , Saturation , and Hue , to varying
degrees to bring out certain inate aspects of each Image . This is much the same as using filters , dodging techniques ,
and masking techniques implemented by traditional Photographers using an enlarger and Darkroom .
